Indecisive of whether or not I wanted to see Sigur Ros at the Greek Theater, which is close to where I live but so invasive for what I consider such intimate music, that I went to the movie theater twice in a row instead to watch two very silly movies. One thing I do want is the book I saw at MOMA of their art work. I think I'll get that this week.

Sometimes we mess things up. Maybe we are too naive, or maybe we are just acting out of fear and insecurities attained by past experiences. The important thing is that we grow up.

mochi love

l o v e c h r i s t i n e

together in mochi dreams

I stumbled randomly upon Christine's art work one day and I feel so lucky I did. I don't know where this girl finds the time to make so many cute things. She makes cute comics, cute watercolor paintings, cute music, cute wooden squares with 3-d cartoons inside, cute everything... I find whatever she makes irresistible and I want to hug it all. We also share a passion for mochi. I wish I hadn't deleted my old myspace page in attempts to fight the addition of hanging with the peeps online all day long, because she left me some darn cute comments with her awesome cartoons and watercolors. I miss them. Gotta love Love Christine.

Ready for Story Time?

s o u t h e r s a l a z a r

It was crush at first sight. Ever since I saw the fist piece by Souther Salazar I was totally hooked in his child-like wunderlust. Just like waiting for story time as a kid, I couldn't wait to have my eyes wander around other of his pieces once I saw the first. His style is reminiscent of the work of J.otto Seibold, a children's book illustrator of stories I use to love reading to my friend's kids. He uses earthy pastel tones which makes his detailed, seeing-through-the-eyes-of-a-kid fantastical niche very soft on the eyes. Each piece is like the imagination of a four-year-old running through story time.

I'm being followed...

by icecream trucks!

The nostalgic sweet sound of colored flavored ice on sticks on a hot summer day, and sitting at the stoops glancing back at freer more irresponsible times while our popsicles melt. A photo story of my summer trip’s ice cream trucks [more]...

Summer Fun 2005!! (A Photo Account)

Summer 2005 is memorable!!!! Everything is roses. Colors are vivid. Butterflies stand on my finger.

Things I'll miss: NYC! Central Park, Spoonbill and Sugartown, sitting at Verb writing post-cards, Enid's breakfast, that music store at mid town (not the one in pictures, can't remember name), Detroit! Jazz club, Art's Intitute murals, after midnight, Baltimore! [more]...
